The idea for this blog came from our friend Bronwyn, who also runs 1001 Book Reviews for Kids over at Blogspot.  The first 1001 Book Reviews was started as a reading challenge to be met during 2011.  Sadly, Bronwyn’s time as a busy Mum and blogger meant that something had to give and the 1001 Book Reviews was the thing to go.

That is where we come in.

Taking the original reviews and bringing them over to WordPress, the 1001 Book Reviews will be changing from a reading challenge to a source of information and inspiration to book lovers old and new.  We would like to get through all 1001 books in due course, but are quite happy to accept multiple reviews for each book listed.  After all, we are different people and we have different opinions.
